Our History:

Berkana International was established in 1988 to conduct retained search in the rapidly expanding technology sector. Since then our search work has expanded to include: telecommunications, manufacturing, publishing, aerospace and retail, with positions ranging from supply chain leaders, software development leaders to CIO's, COO's, and CEO's.

We understand the complexity and diversity of both candidates and corporations. We know that neither can be fully represented by either a resume or a corporate job description. Our Team:

Sonja Carson, President
Sonja founded Berkana International in 1988 after more than eight years of recruiting experience in the high-tech and converging technologies industries. She specializes in senior executive and technical search. Prior to her recruiting experience, she was Vice President of Sales with Technology Services Corporation, a training and services company specializing in the P.C. industry in the area of operations, programming and training. Ms. Carson graduated from the University of Washington with a double Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Comparative Literature, and worked concurrently in the University's Academic Computing Center.

Jennifer Enright, Executive Recruiter
Jennifer's focus is on providing proven technical, sales and marketing professionals for the high-tech and converging technologies industries. She is an innovative professional and personal effectiveness coach with extensive experience in a variety of organizational settings. Jennifer particularly enjoys working with clients on understanding, planning for, and mastering transition and renewal as a sustainable competitive edge. Prior to Berkana, she held senior management positions in training and development organizations focused on software training and personal growth arenas.

Duane Wright, Webmaster
A producer and writer of independent films, Duane is the artistic and editorial talent behind Berkana's internet presence. He is also responsible for the handling the initial contact with candidates and clients coming to us via the web. Duane graduated from Evergreen State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema and Creative Writing.

Bill Holloman, Operations Manager
Bill is an ex-Army captain and helicopter pilot who developed his organizational experience as an operations & planning staff officer in the U.S. Army's largest helicopter battalion in Europe. He maintains all of Berkana's behind-the-scenes activities, insuring a smooth operational environment for the rest of the team. Bill graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations.
